Kashiyatra '24, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT (BHU) Varanasi

Kashiyatra, the Annual Socio-Cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi is here!

Kashiyatra or KY, as we call it is a three-day long extravaganza encompassing the best of music, dance, literature and arts. Over the years, Kashiyatra has grown to become one of the biggest fests of North India with a footfall of 60,000+ college students pouring in from the entire nation.

We at this moment take the utmost pleasure in welcoming IITBHU to the 41st Edition of Kashiyatra starting from 19th - 21st January 2024, in the cultural hub of India, i.e. Banaras.

Kashiyatra comprises of the following eight major competitions with a total of over 30 dynamic sub-events:

· Abhinay - The portrayal of theatrical skills through an array of competitions

· Bandish - A battle to relish the richness of Indian Music & Instruments

· Crosswindz - The grand stage for one of the biggest Rock and Metal music festival in India

· Enquizta - A brainstorming session of Quizzes comprising different genres. Recognized in the Top 10 Quizzes in India

· Mirage - The Lifestyle event, graced with the presence of Miss India Earth Aaital Khosla, Miss India runner-up Pankhuri Gidwanirecently and many other hotshots in the past

· Natraj - From the grace of classical dance to the peppiest beats, dance events organised in association with Hip Hop International

· Samwaad - A literary event exploring the aesthetics of the world of words & literature

·Toolika - Fine Arts marathon, organized to give wings to your creativity through many underlying events

With myriads of breath-taking events along with zealous competitions during the day and dazzling pro-nites, KY will leave you mesmerised. You will take home infinites of everlasting memories.

Some of the acts which we have hosted in the past include Amit Trivedi, Sachin-Jigar, The Local Train, Coke Studio, Sunburn, Euphoria, Nikhil D' Souza, VH1 Supersonic, Lucky Ali, Anish Sood, Zaeden and Death Metal Bands like Mindshift, Demonic Resurrection and Undying INC. KY hosts and showcases different cultures every year with various International acts. Limor Ballas, Echo&Tito, Murray Molloy, Tiny Fingers, Ehud Segev are some of the renowned artists from across borders who have left the crowd spellbound at KY over the years.

Kashiyatra, an embellishing platform lying in the heart of Banaras is here to embrace the creative minds from across the country and leave yet another mark on the cultural history of a city as vivid and lively as Kashi.
