Overview

In an era where education is rapidly evolving, Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) emerges as a transformative approach that shifts the focus from teaching what to think to guiding students on how to think. This training session aims to empower educators to create engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences that spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and foster meaningful understanding.

Through hands-on strategies and reflective discussion, participants will explore ways to nurture student ownership of learning, integrate questioning techniques effectively, and design classroom environments that promote active engagement and critical thinking.

This training is designed to enable educators to:

• Translating inquiry theory into daily classroom practice.
• Shifting classroom culture from answer-seeking to investigation and curiosity.
• Applying NEP 2020 goals to lesson planning, teaching, and assessment.
• Designing inquiry prompts from regular textbook content.
• Moving from chapter completion to competency-focused learning.
• Embedding curiosity, autonomy, and interdisciplinary thinking consistently.
• Learn effective techniques for implementing Inquiry-Based Learning in diverse classroom contexts.
• Develop the skill of framing purposeful and open-ended questions that drive deeper inquiry.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the training session on “Creating Engaging Inquiry-Based Learning Experiences to Foster Active Learning and Student Success,” participants will be able to:

• Explain and justify learner-centered IBL approaches that empower student voice and autonomy.
• Interpret NEP 2020 expectations and apply them to daily instructional practices.
• Use 20+ types of questions across Bloom’s levels to scaffold deeper thinking and discussion.
• Implement strategies to nurture curiosity and build a questioning classroom culture.
• Design real-world, interdisciplinary inquiry tasks that enhance engagement and competency development.
• Apply strategies to create engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences that promote active participation and deeper understanding.
• Foster a classroom culture that values curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving as essential skills for lifelong learning.

This session is specially designed for educators teaching Grades 6–12 who aspire to refine their instructional methods and create dynamic, engaging learning environments that promote student success.
