Hulukadi Betta Trek- Wanderophile

Overview:

Hulukadi Betta owes its appeal to the verdant shrub forests, beautiful lakes surrounding it & the remains of the fort said to built by Chola kings sometime in the 16th century. Though as near as just 70 km away from Bangalore, Hulukadi betta is still a relatively not-so-popular trekking place near the city. There is the mythical story of Lord Narasimha & Lord Veerabhadra fighting to stay on this hill & how Lord Narasimha had to cede & leave to another place now located in Andhra Pradesh after losing the fight. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra on top of the hill to which many pilgrims visit on weekends. You can also see the ruins of fort walls & watch towers built by the Chola kings on the trek trail. The trek trail starts near a lake on the eastern side of the hill & ends at the opposite side making it one of the very few cross treks to do near Bangalore.

Itinerary:
Board the bus, get to know fellow travellers & leave Bengaluru by around 6.00 AM

Reach the base of the hill

Start the trek

Reach the peak 

Explore the surroundings

Have lunch and take a short nap (ahh finally)

Descend to the base,

Start back to Bengaluru

Stop to sip some chai

Reach Bengaluru by evening.​

• Any kind of insurance. 
• Any other miscellaneous expenses which is not mentioned in the inclusions above.

Things to carry:

Don't worry about packing too much or too little. Here's just everything that you need to carry- a rucksack, a water bottle, personal medicine, portable charger, socks, hiking shoes. And, a camera to capture the memories(optional).Don't forget to bring loads of enthusiasm :)

Cancellation & Refund Policy: 

• In case you are not able to join the trip you have booked & cancel your tickets at least 2 days before the day of the trek, you can always choose to join any of our future trips within 1 year of the trip date without taking a refund. No cancellations charges will be charged in this case.

• If cancellations are made within 7-15 days before the start date of the trip, 10% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

• If cancellations are made within 3-6 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

• If cancellations are made within 0-2 days before the start date of the trip, 45% of total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

• A minimum of 7 members required to confirm the event. In case of lesser than 7 members, full refund will be done or you can choose to join any of our future treks.

• In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such case we will try our best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
