Hike Mates Trek to Bhimashankar via Shidi Ghat – 21st & 22nd July, 2018

If you like natures company and real trekking experience, then trek to bhimashankar from khandas through Shidi Ghat is an ideal one. River Bhima originates from this place. The lord Shiva temple is one of the jyotirlingas situated in Maharashtra. Though it is a religious Place, this trek is noteworthy of visiting, especially in the monsoons.This trek is no dought the best one in Sahyadris. There are two routes to reach while trekking from khandas, First One is Ganesh Ghat a simple One & second is ascending via Shidi Ghat (Ladder Route) a little tough route, it passes through river streams, water falls, rock patches. It is really an adventurous rout. We are going to ascend through the Shidi Ghat and descend through the Ganesh ghat route.

Meeting Time and Place :
Shimla Office, Shivajinagar 21st July at 10:00 p.m. Sharp.

Itinerary :
Day 1:
- Gather at Shimla Office at 10:00 pm sharp.
- Start journey to Khandas village by Private bus.
- Reach Khandas village by 2:00 am.(Depends on Traffic)
- Go to sleep in the village.
Day 2:
- Wake-up at 6:00 am sharp.
- Have breakfast.
- Start trek to bhimashankar by Shidi Ghat route.
- Reach Bhimashankar by 1 pm. (5 to 6 hrs of trek).
- Have Lunch.
- Visit Bhimashankar temple.(If possible because of rush and limitation of time)
- Start return Journey to khandas village by Ganesh Ghat route.
- Reach Khandas village by 6:00pm.(4 hrs of trek)
- Have evening Snacks ans start return journey to Pune, reach Pune by 9:00pm

What to Bring:
- Water bottle 2 Litre compulsory.
- Good trekking shoes.
- Spare clothes, raincoat, Towel.
- Personal Medical Kit
