Heritage Ride by TBR - Melkote and Shravanabelagola

Melkote - one of the best preserved towns with rich heritage dating back to 12th century offering a great historical facts and monuments for one to explore and admire.

Shravanabelagola - has world famous 58 feet monolithic statue carved out granite stone has been renowned as world's tallest monolithic sculpture.

Highlights of the Ride

• Ride through the Highways and country side roads to get the essence of a real traveller
• Know more about the history of Shravanabelagola, through a chaperon
• Enjoy the unique local delicacy at Melkote

Itinerary:

• Meet at starting point by 6.00 am & self-introduction and short briefing on the ride
• After a pleasant ride in the morning, time for a break to put tummy at work.
• Continue riding to Melkote, reach around 10.30 am and walk around the ancient town.
• Climb “To the top of the hill” of Narashima swamy temple hill and also witness Rayagopura
• Time to put tummy at work again, experience local lunch served in a traditional way.
• Ride towards Shravanabelogala and reach around 2.30 pm.
• Visit the World famous Gommateshwara status and know more about the history with our local chaperon.
• Leave towards Bangalore after witnessing the Sun set at Shravanabelogala.
• Reach Bangalore with Dinner on the way.

• Lot of energy as we need to climb 3 small hills during the short ride.
