This is a 8 days log trek, starting from Dehradun and ending at Dehradun as well, in between covering 5 beautiful places named Sankri, Taluka, Osla, Harkidoon and Jaundhar. The first stop Sankri is situated 1950 mts above the Sea level and it offers beautiful view of pristine white snow clad mountains which not only please the eyes of the trekkers but also gives them a feeling of being in some completely different part of the world. The second destination of the trek, Taluka is situated some 1900mts above the sea level and apart from some best scenic view, it also offers some of the fine flowers blossms. Definitely it's a place worth visiting for the nature and flora lovers. The third destination Osla is situated 2560kms above the sea level and its some 12 km trek from Taluka. The fourth place is the Harkidoon itself which lies in the valley of Swargrohini Peak and is best known for the snow clad mountains, pristine and crystal clear waterfalls and rich vegetation. From Taluka its some 14 km upside trek and some 2 km descend trek in order to rich harkidoon. The last and final destination of this trek is the Jaundhar glacier, which is just 2kms trek from harkidoon. The base of Swargarohini peak is very close to Jaundhar glacier, So, while on the trek you also gets to view the scenic beauty of this legendry peak. After completing the Jaundhar trek, the trek will get into the reverse trek and from Jaundhar you will get back to harkidoon, then Osla,Taluka, Sankri and finally back to Dehradun, ending the memorable trek.
Brief Itinerary
Day 1 :- Pick up from Dehradun railway station at 6.30 am. Drive to Sankri (10-11 hrs).
Day 2 :- Sankri to Taluka - 12 km - 5 to 6 hrs
Day 3 :- Taluka to Osla - 14 km - 6 to 7 hrs
Day 4 :- Osla to Harkidoon - 11 km - 5 to 6 hrs
Day 5 :- Harkidoon to Jaundhar Glacier, Explore the area & back to camp 15 km - 7 hrs
Day 6 :- Harkidoon to Osla - 11 km - 3 hrs
Day 7 :- Osla to Sankri - 26 km - 7 to 8 hrs
Day 8 :- Drive back to Dehradun. Reach by 7-8 pm.
