CFP professionals in India grew by 17.6% in 2021, reaching a total of 2,338

India is an evolving economy. India will see the biggest real-term salary increase of 4.6 percent, says a report by ECA. A Salary Trends Survey 2022/2023 by ECA reveals that India will be among the top five countries predicted to witness real-term salary increases in 2023. As the living standards of the Middle Class and Upper Class keep increasing, so does their need to invest.

Currently, India’s population is around 140 Crores, and only 2338 CFP’s to advise them. Which means, 1 CFP for every 6 lac Indian population. The salaries are going up but people don’t have knowledge about where and how to invest.

As per Economic Times, 3 out of 4 people still keep most of their money in Savings Accounts, as they are not aware of it and do not receive proper advice regarding where and how to invest.

According to Noel Maye, CEO of FPSB, India’s rate of growth of CFP professionals placed it in the top three globally, after Brazil (36 percent) and Indonesia (22 percent); and its net growth of 349 CFP professionals, ranks it in the top seven growth territories globally.
