About Green India Hackathon (GIH):

Green India Hackathon (GIH) is a pathbreaking initiative from Electric One (India's Largest EV Super Stores chain) and WUElev8 (India's Leading Hackathon Specialists) who have joined hands to drive EV transformation across the spectrum galvanising all the key stakeholders through a common engaging platform - Academia, EV OEMs and Suppliers, EV Charging Organisations, Customers and Policymakers.

GIH is an annual nationwide hackathon that is aimed at providing a platform for innovative technology solutions designed by students and EV enthusiasts for the faster growth of the EV ecosystem. The hackathon aims to promote exchanges of creative ideas and knowledge of electric vehicles amongst the future generation with best companies and professionals from EV space participating and sharing their ideas.

The GIH hackathon aims to provide momentum to the EV adoption by solving major problems of the EV ecosystem like:

• EV adoptability in different regions by studying the demographic, geospatial data which will help companies plan their services in the region
• Logistical problems like detecting charging stations, availability on the fly, emergency charging services etc
• Real time planning for EV ride hailing, food and grocery deliveries using EV and how this can be enhanced
• Grid regulation using AI based upon the demand of power in the regions for charging
• Battery swapping solutions
• Fast charging solutions
• Reducing burning of vehicles using AI

GIH will be one of the largest hackathons in the world focusing on Electric Vehicles. Here is a glimpse of GIH:

• The hackathon will be organised across India at 4 top Universities in North, South, East & West India.
• The total hackathon Prize money is of INR 10 Lacs+, Electric Scooters as a special prize for 2 teams.
• Top 5 teams from each region will compete in a Grand Finale at IIT Delhi*. Regional winners have a chance to win a total of prizes worth INR 1 Lac.
• The hackathon will be attended by 500+ founders and technology professionals, angel investors, renowned professors from top universities across India.
• The annual hackathon is expected to have a reach of more than 1 Crore eyeballs and approximately 1000+ participants will be joining the hackathon.

GIH North Region is scheduled on February 3rd & 4th, 2023 at Manav Rachna University, Faridabad. For registrations to GIH North Region, they need to sign up on the WUElev8 platform and register for the hackathon.
