Gokarna Beach Trek And Camping

Gokarna is a small temple town on the western coast of India in the Kumta taluk of Uttara Kannada district of the state of Karnataka. Gokarna is known as one of the seven important Hindu pilgrimage centers. It is on what was once an unspoiled beach near the estuary of the river Aghanashini. Recently, due to the influx of tourists, the character of the town has changed; it is no longer just a centre of pilgrimage, though large numbers of devotees visit to offer prayers and worship to Lord Shiva. It has many beaches, out of which Om beach and Kudle beach are the most visited by tourists and beach lovers.

Gokarna has several beaches and the trekking trail is popularly known as “Golden Trail”. The trek begins from the Belekaan Village and ends at Gokarna main beach. You would be walking along the beach, climbing the boulders and crossing several beaches like Paradise, Half moon Beach, Om beach, Kudle beach.

Brief Itinerary:

DAY 1 (Friday)

Pickup from Bangalore at 19:00 Hrs (07:00 pm)

(Pick up points and respective timings will be updated)

 

DAY 2 (Saturday)

Overnight journey to Gokarna main beach (Base Camp)

Freshen up.

Breakfast.

Go towards Belekaan and start trekking after a short breifing about the trek.

Have Packed lunch (to be carried by you from base camp)

Continue trekking and relax at the beach

Reach base camp, have tea

Campfire, rain dance and other activities

Dinner and retire for the day

 

DAY 3 (Sunday)

Have breakfast

Start journey back to Bangalore, visit Mirjan fort on the way.
