ABOUT THE RUN:

Each year United Nations celebrate ‘International Mountain Day’ on Dec 11.  This year, the theme of the International Mountain Day is ‘Climate Change, Hunger and Migration in Mountain Region’. To promote the cause and help spread the awareness, GGIM has organized ‘International Mountain Day Festival’.

And the most exciting and challenging event of the festival is ‘IMD Mountain Run.’

Unique features of the race:

1. Be a part of first ever Mountain Run in India to celebrate ‘International Mountain Day’
2. Run along with Sherpas from Nepal who have climbed Mountains such as Mt. Everest, Mt. K2, Mt. Makalu and many eight thousender mountains
3. Test yourself with challenges of rugged uphills, forests trails.

Rules for Prizes

• If a category has upto 1 to 5 registrations, only the first prize will be given. If a category has more than 5 and upto 10 registrations, then first and second prizes will be given. If a category has more than 10 registrations, then top 3 will be awarded. This rule is applicable to both - Pro and Amateur categories.

FAQs

 

1. How Do I register

Registration is available online.

Alternatively, you can contact us, and we will be happy to mail a form to you, if the event is not sold out. You can also visit our office and submit paper entry form. We do not accept phone entries.

2. What can I do if I register and do not participate?

All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund. If you cannot participate, you may not give or sell your number to anyone else and entry fees will not be transferred from year to year

3. I have been charged and not received confirmation, what shall I do ?

Under exceptional cases, in case the transaction failed at the payment gateway stage, and if the money was debited but a confirmation was not generated, the money will be credited back to your account within 3 working days automatically. However, please email us with details of your registration – date of registration, name and your mail id and we will follow up to ensure the problem is tracked and dealt with.

4. Registration confirmation?

If you register online, then you would receive registration confirmation email after successful payment transaction. All entries submitted in person at our office will be treated as confirmed. Please Note: Final confirmation/information will be emailed to participants within 1weeks before the event.

5. What if I don’t receive a confirmation?

Please bring a printout of your bank transaction record or bank deposit slip or confirmation email and a photo I.D. to our office to pick up your race number and other items. Confirmation emails are mandatory to claim your race number.

8. Age limit for the run?

You must be at least 10 years old (born on or before 30th November 2007) to participate in the 5km Marathon.

9. Can I nominate someone for material pickup?

All participants must pick up their own race materials. Photo I.D. is required. Race materials will not be mailed. Only, in emergency situations where participant cannot attend at our office then he/she can nominate someone to collect on their behalf by informing us in advance by email with details of the person picking on their behalf.

10. What are the inclusions of Registration?

Each registered participant and finisher will receive the following:

- Race number

- Water and Sports Energy Drink along the course

-Refreshments and water at the start and finish lines

-Finisher’s medal when you cross the finish line

-Downloadable finisher’s certificate post-race

- Only the participants in PRO category will get timing chip
