FRCPath (Microbiology) Part 1 Support Group For International Candidates November 2022-March 2023

The FRCPath Part 1 Clinical Microbiology Support Group has been created to help international candidates with preparation for the part 1 examination.

The Group will meet on four occasions.

Four online sessions on Zoom on single registration, on Saturdays from 3-6pm UK time.

Time: 3 pm to 6 pm UK time

Online Zoom access link will be sent to all participants by email.

UK based faculties will cover topics that international candidate find difficult to address but are important for the success in FRCPath 1 Microbiology examination.

We will cover:

Introduction to UK clinical microbiology practices for overseas students

Common infection control and infectious diseases scenarios from the exam point of view

Signposting to available resources for exam preparation (UK guidelines, SOPs, websites)

Practice MCQs

It is expected that all candidates will have read the Oxford Handbook of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology before the first session on 12 Nov 2022.
