Examination Support Group for Part 1 and 2 (Starting on Saturday 22June 2024, 3-6pm UK time, total 5 sessions, dates below)

Are you aspiring to take FRCPath part 1 or 2 examination in the near future?

Have you appeared for FRCPath exam but have been unsuccessful so far?

Welcome to this unique support group for international candidates to help with your preparation for your next attempt at the exam for either part 1 or 2. The Group will be working towards Part 2 but Part 1 aspirants will also benefit from the support as the preparation overlaps.

FRCPath exam in microbiology is geared towards UK practice. This group will support international candidates in understanding the competencies required for the exam.

Unique features of the support group:

• Lead by UK based faculties
• Focused on critical appraisal, patient safety, clinical governance and public health in addition to clinical microbiology and infectious diseases
• Structure of health system in the UK, role of the UK government, UK Health Security Agency (previously PHE), local public health units
• Clinical Governance and risk assessment

• Effectively answering clinical questions in the UK context
• Skilful telephonic conversation (OSPE) between microbiologist and clinician
• Infection control scenarios and governance in outbreak management
• Signposting to various UK guidelines, healthcare laws

And…plenty of homework!

Five online sessions for 3 hours on Saturdays (3pm to 6pm UK time)

Starting on Saturday 22nd June (then on 13 July, 3 August, 7 and 28 September 2024)
