Flamingo Boat Safari- Bhandup Pumping Station

Flamingos make their long journey to India from Eastern Europe and Siberia. Mumbai itself hosts almost 30-40,000 flamingos every year.

Now is a good time to go watch them and boat safari is a fun way of seeing flamingos. There will be an expert bird watcher with you on the tour who will help in bird identification and give interesting facts about the birds.

One hour boat ride will start from Bhandup Pumping station and open into Thane Creek which was recently declared bird sanctuary.

You can see upto 30 different species of migratory birds at Bhandup. Possible sightings during the tour would be Lesser Whistling Duck, Garganey, Northern Shoveler, Spot Billed Ducks etc. Very limited seats.

Total Duration of Tour will be 2 hours.

Things to carry -Binoculars recommended. Please wear full sleeves shirt and trousers, carry water bottle and snacks, Floaters or sports shoes
