Espresso Martini was formed in Delhi in the year 2024, when a small group of musicians discovered that an evening spent in cheerful company, with instruments in hand, was far too pleasant an affair to remain an occasional indulgence. What began as informal gatherings soon took on a life of its own, shaped by a fondness for jazz, blues, and melodies that reward a gentle return. At the centre stands Amrita Sivaram, aged 26, whose happiest moments are found beneath warm lights and before a listening room. Her affection for jazz grew from a search for belonging, and she has since kept music close as both companion and refuge. To sing is, for her, to step briefly into other lives and feelings, and to perform is to feel alive. Together with Jiyag on percussion, Anirban on bass, Moksh on the keys and Gokul on guitar, Espresso Martini continues in good spirits, led by friendship, curiosity, and the enduring pleasures of jazz and blues, to share it with the world.
