This will be a team competition and each team will be of 2 members. This competition is divided into 4 rounds. Students will be eliminated after each round.
Round.1: INTUITIVE EXPLANATION: In this round, participants will be given 10 famous formulae and statements used in electronics and communication field; they have to describe the formulae or statement in their own way and also provide additional info like how revolutionizing it is/was, its necessity, any other replacement for that concept or recent development around that concept.
10 questions-20 minutes-24 teams (expected). Four teams will be eliminated. Subjected to changes w.r.t the conditions on the J-day.(Judgement day)
** The best script wins bonus points. Which can help the judges in the final judgement.
Round.2: PAR COEUR: Which literally means ‘by heart’. Here participants have to identify the shown electronic component, its features and its application. This round is to motivate them to remember some of the frequently used electronic components in simple electronic systems. On the basis of their knowledge about the components 4 teams will be eliminated. (Subjected to changes w.r.t the conditions on the J-day.)
** The best answer wins bonus points, which can help the judges in the final judgement.
Round 3: KHWARIZMI: Each team will be given a problem statement and they have to come up with a solid algorithm to solve it using electronic components, kits. 7 best teams will be selected for next round.
** The best and the fastest wins bonus points, which can help the judges in the final judgement.
** NOTE: KHWARIZMI: guy behind the word “algorithm”
Round4: RIG UP: Final round will be based on round3. Points earned till round 3 will be the virtual money to buy components and with the help of these component’s student will build a circuit. Most efficient circuit will be the winner. Here they are allowed to use simulation software for assistance. (if needed)
4 teams will be eliminated.
Tie-breaker: Trivial questions
