Dastak by Sakshi Taneja

Sakshi Taneja is a young, versatile vocalist hailing from New Delhi, India, and is currently based in Dubai. Trained in Indian classical music from a young age, Sakshi has developed a distinctive style that reflects her classical roots with a special focus on ghazals. She has performed at esteemed venues across the UAE, including the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Emirates Theatre. A Commerce graduate of Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University, Sakshi made her debut with Ghazal Saraa by the Rekhta Foundation and has been widely recognized in national-level competitions, including Surtarang by Sangam Kala Group and being a Top 20 finalist in the Khazana Artist Aloud Ghazal Talent Hunt powered by Hungama. She was also recently honoured with the Shaan-e-Awadh award.

Dastak offers a captivating evening of soulful poetry and music, taking the audience on a journey through the timeless compositions of legends like Mehdi Hasan, Jagjit Singh, and Ghulam Ali. This intimate baithak-style performance is designed to perfectly complement the warm and soulful atmosphere of Depot 48.
