Next week, we have a guest improviser from Mumbai - Aditya Kashyap!
Improv Lore met Aditya at the Manila Improv Festival in September this year, where he was teaching some fun workshops. We were so bummed we couldn’t attend his workshops - but as luck would have it, Aditya is coming to Bangalore next week! And he’ll be teaching us Dance & Battle (for stage).
Our admiration aside, here’s more about Aditya’s work: Aditya is an actor, a writer, a dancer and, most happily, an improviser. He started improv in his college years, as a hobby, and soon moved on to performing and directing it professionally. He has performed in festivals across Asia and was part of The Company Players. He is now teaching improv in Mumbai, apart from being part of Medium Sized Improv. He has also established an experimental theatre group Spicy 9s, focussing on improvised and immersive theatre.
About the workshop: The most physically demanding, yet exciting workshop in this catalogue. The name says it all, you'll learn how to move to music and you'll learn how to fight with finesse. Key takeaways include the secrets to making both of those skills stage worthy and safe. In your next improv show, wow your audiences with an improvised group dance worthy of the musical Chicago and thrill them with an improvised fight sequence worthy of an actual street fight in Chicago.
