A walking tour of the least known or visited heritage zone of our city. Exploring the lost legacy of Awadh kingdom in Metiabruz. The final days of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, the last Nawab of Awadh. In years that went by, they tried hard and almost succeeded in creating their own little Awadh right here in Calcutta. But how did he end up here? And what remains? This walking tour shall take us around an almost forgotten history of Calcutta surviving off the main city circuit. The final resting place of the last two Nawabs of Awadh and the legacy of a great era! Imambaras, mosques, legends of Awadhi cuisine and a truly Royal Paan while we re-live the pain and pathos of a sad king.
