Ganj Peth Heritage Walk, Pune

With the fall of the Maratha Empire in 1818 after the Battle of Khadki, the British took control of the Shaniwr Wada and the whole of the Maratha Empire. Since then various valiant fighters rose against the British at various points of time from the city. Some fought with weapons while others became social reformers to uplift the largely underprivileged society.
