"Never stop learning because life never stops teaching"
This episode of Common Sense is welcoming Mr.S.Parthasarathy- Centenarian, Innovative Educator, and Life-long Learner to educate us about the beauty of life and knowledge. Through his experiences, he will be guiding and steer us in the right direction.
At the ripe age of 103, he is still a very active young man, looking after schools and a prestigious college in Chennai. He has been trying to introduce a series of innovations in the educational institutions he manages. Recently he has been interviewed regarding his opinion on the NEP 2020 as well as the responses it has received.
He showcases strength and youthfulness throughout his life. From 5K runs to chess, he is unbeatable. He started his career as a school teacher and then moved on to Delhi University for eight years. He became the first director of the Indian National Scientific Documentation Centre(INSDOC) and retired as a Scientist Incharge after 25 years.
After retirement, he worked as an honorary professor in DRTC. He worked on various national and international projects, mentoring and guiding students. He has been a member of many institutions, such as the International Advisory Committee for Documentation of UNESCO for six years, out of which he was the Vice President for two years.
As part of his work, he has received many awards and citations. He has been associated with many governmental and non-governmental organizations in various fields. He is a member of the Hindu Educational Organization, Saraswati Bandaram Committee, Vedavedanta Vardini for the promotion of Vedas, Chairman of Bharati Pasarai, and many more.
