Coffee Talk Series: Financial Management During COVID-19, Lessons Learned

This talk will focus on how the Chinese economy fared during the COVID-19 crisis by highlighting the factors that determine the effectiveness of health policies implemented in China. Focusing on leading indicators such as stock market data, we discuss whether firm financial characteristics, firm infection, geographical location of the spread, travel bans, lock down periods, policies of home quarantine, health innovations and other innovative measures undertaken by the Chinese authorities affect the effectiveness.
