A bird watching trail in Kochi
Kochi has always boasted a rich diversity of birds, including migratory and non-migratory species. However, rapid urbanisation and climate change have led to the disappearance of many of them over the years.
The Kadamakudy Island cluster, nestled amid the serene backwaters of Kerala, India, are not only a sanctuary for mangroves and aquatic life but also a haven for an impressive array of bird species. From elegant waders and majestic raptors to delightful songbirds, the islands boast a vibrant avian population that captivates the hearts of nature enthusiasts and bird watchers alike. As we marvel at this, let us also recognize the significance of preserving these fragile ecosystems for generations to come.
Join us on this trail at Kadamakudy for the first time as we go bird watching and also learn about our avian friends.
