Filmmaking as a learning tool? An unprecedented perception, isn’t it? A lot of things go into the making of a film – story, editing, cinematography, acting, direction, production…and of course Lights, Camera, Sound, Action!! But how these rudiments could be termed as learning tools or render us opportunities to shape a learner, how filmmaking is skill-oriented and could assist students in becoming a better version of themselves? Well, the answers to these questions lie not in the object which is the ‘Film’ but in the process of gratification of that object.
Chitkara International School in association with Cinevidya is pleased to present to you one of its kind inter-school filmmaking competition, CineMaestro – ‘shaping future filmmakers’. The aim of this competition is to unleash students’ filmmaking skills through Cinevidya – a path breaking Social Enterprise initiated by Amitabha Singh which believes in ‘Films to aid Learning. Learning to make Films’.
What is Cinevidya?
