Renowned for the Kudremukh National Park, Kudremukh is the largest reserve of a tropical wet evergreen timberland in Karnataka and birthplace of three crucial rivers— Bhadra, Netravati and Tunga. The locale is home to langurs, macaques, barking deer, malabar giant squirrels and chitals, Leopards, tigers, jackals and wild dogs. Kudremukh in Kannada is 'horse-confront' which resemble to its its shape which alludes to a specific pleasant perspective of a side of the mountain that appears to be indistinguishable to horse confront. There are flooding streams that need to be crossed, dark woodlands with crisp brown leaves fallen underneath, bamboo bushes tall enough to touch the sky, rolling green hills and finally, the pinnacle itself, where blustery winds can blow you off your feet while the scenery below blows your mind.
