Join us for the launch of Moong Over Microchips: Adventures of a Techie-turned-Farmer by Venkat Iyer, who went from living a fast-paced life in the IT world of Mumbai to giving it all up and take up organic farming in a small village near Mumbai.
Venkat will be in conversation with Bittu Sahgal (Founding Editor, Sanctuary Asia) and Dilnavaz Variava (President, The Sahayak Trust).
Born in 1966, Venkateshwaran (Venkat) Iyer is a science graduate and a certified project management professional. He last worked with IBM in Mumbai as a project manager for software implementation. After seventeen years in the IT industry, he quit in 2004 to live on his organic farm in Peth village in Dahanu taluk, Palghar district, Maharashtra. Moong Over Microchips is his first book.
