ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Every runner must be eligible to participate in Bhatti Lakes Ultra through their participation in other ultras and marathons.

  • 50Kms – Minimum 2 full marathon
  • 80Kms – Minimum 2 50Kms ultra marathons
  • 100kms – Minimum 2 50Kms and 1 75Kms+ ultra marathons.
  • 160kms – Minimum 1 100Kms ultra timed finish
  • 220Kms – Minimum 2 160km ultra timed finish
  • 338Km – Minimum 1 220Km and 2 160km ultra time finishes.

DEATH LOOP RULES: (This is only for the DEATH-LOOP and applies to no other race category) 

This is an extreme race category and requires much racing experience coupled with focused training. We would love to see you attain excellence in running and this category is one such effort to push limits within the boundaries of safety rules and monitored performance. The Death Loop starts on April 1, 2021, at 2 PM.

  1. Each loop a 20Km distance needs to be completed within 2hours 20 minutes or 10kms in 1 hour 10 minutes.
  2. There is an enforced timeout of 5 minutes between the first 3 loops.
  3. No timeout from the 4th loop onwards and everyone starts on the clock.
  4. Any runner who does not complete a single loop within the loop's allowed time will not get to start the next loop .
  5. No exception for the timeout will be given. It is enforced to ensure a runner is sufficiently able to complete a loop that is demanding physically and mentally.
  6. Partial loops before the clock run out at 12 pm on April 3, 2021, are not counted.
  7. If a number of runners complete the same number of loops at the end of the race, the runner finishing the final loop first wins.
  8. Support to runners: Runners are provided support throughout their time on the trail only at the aid-stations. They can carry what they need in between the aid-stations that are 5kms apart. No pacing and crewing allowed on the route. A runner can bring a crew-member who will be allowed to assist the runner only at one of the aid-stations.

RACE FEE INCLUDES:

  • Aid-station support providing water, ice, electrolytes, fruit, energy drinks, salty snacks, candy, ice, and medical aid at the 5-km intervals.
  • Stove facility at the start location for use by racers/crew members to heat up food and prepare coffee/tea
  • Tents for 338Km, 220Kms, 160kms, 100kms, 24-hours, and Death Loop category runners to rest, at the start point aid-station, including crew members.
  • Water, basic food, and first-aid provided to all registered crew members carrying their crew tags.
  • Nighttime route safety and support
  • Medal and digital certificate

BRIEFING DETAILS:


The race briefing will be held virtually. Your virtual briefing access will be sent prior to the scheduled time.

  • XTrail categories: (10, 20 and 30Kms) - March 29, 2021 @ 6 PM
  • Ultra Trail categories: March 29, 2021 @ 7 PM


DROP BAGS:

Due to the COVID situation drop bags will be accepted at the race venue up to two hours before the start of your race.

Drop bags are allowed for all race participants in the ultra categories. The number of bags for each category stated below. Each drop bag must be neatly tagged with the name tags provided in your race kit.

  • 338Kms - 4 drop bags
  • 220KM – 4 drop bags
  • 100 Miles – 4 drop bags
  • 24 Hours – 4 drop bags
  • 100KM – 2 drop bags
  • 80KM – 2 drop bags
  • 50KM – 1 drop bag


WEATHER, TERRAIN:

Temperatures: Mid to high 30 Centigrade during the day and teens at night. The daytime sun beats down mercilessly on the trails where there is no tree or shrub cover causing dehydration, sunburn, and dizzy spells.

Terrain: Harsh trail, thorn strewn path, rocky sections, troughs, and gorges


TRAVEL, VISAS, SAFETY:

  • Inform your embassy where you are traveling to and why. Provide us with your embassy’s contact information in the registration form for communication in an emergency.
  • Foreign nationals will require a visa to come to India, which is the sole responsibility of the participant to procure one well within the event start date.
  • Runners and their crew can travel to Delhi from any major city or town and then choose to live close to Faridabad, Kalkaji in Delhi for easier trail access.
  • Walkie-talkies and satellite phones: Runners and those without permits are not allowed to carry and use walkie-talkies or satellite phones. You are not allowed to bring them into the country without prior permits.


Travel to and from the race venue :

  • The race venue is 30 km from Delhi city limits and will require prior transportation arrangements to get to the venue.
  • All participants are required to be at the start line 30 minutes prior to their scheduled start times.
  • Please refer to directions, and location address provided to call for a taxi or carpooling if you are traveling to the venue individually .
  • All participants are expected to secure transportation for post-race travel to the city.


RACE GUIDELINES:

  • All participants are required to be at the start line 30 minutes prior to their scheduled start .
  • 100 mile, 220Km, and 338km participants should be accompanied by 2 and 4 crew members respectively for pacing and/or support. 24-hour participants are allowed 2 crew members each. Please ensure organizers are intimated at least two weeks before the race and register your crew members so they can receive their personal crew tags on the day of the race at the race venue. No crew members will be allowed on the route without registration or their crew tags missing.
  • No vehicular support is allowed on the route except for the organizer’s vehicles. d. 50KM, 80KM, 100 miles, and 24-hour and 220Km participants should carry mandatory night running aids such as headlamps or torchlight, reflective vests or armbands, and whistles. 

MEDICAL CHECK:


Please ensure you get a medical check at least a week before the race covering all vitals to ensure your physician clears you for running.


CANCELLATION POLICY: 

  1. No refund or transfer of the race fee.
  2. A runner can write to us under extenuating circumstances requesting a rollover to any of the races in the current or the next year’s calendar. Above and beyond the notified terms, a participant’s request to roll-over will be considered by the Race Director of the race under special circumstances such as a death or natural calamities that the participant has no control over. For any of your requests to be considered, please write to us on this email id: hello@globeracers.com We understand unavoidable circumstances can arise at any time and we will do our best to consider your request. We also trust you understand that race logistics once in place cannot be withdrawn and our ability to offer you a fee roll-over becomes limited.


RACE PREPARATION PREPARATION IS EVERYTHING.

  1. APPLY FOR THE RACE AS EARLY AS FEBRUARY FOR THAT YEAR’S RACE.
  2. PLAN YOUR TRAINING SCHEDULE AS PER YOUR RACE CATEGORY, WITH A COACH IF NECESSARY, AND FOCUS ON NUTRITION AS WELL.
  3. APPLY FOR YOUR VISA IF YOU NEED ONE TO TRAVEL TO INDIA.
  4. PLAN YOUR TRAVEL TO INDIA AND TO THE RACE VENUE AHEAD OF TIME.
  5. SEEK GUIDANCE FROM OUR RACE COORDINATOR ASSIGNED TO THIS RACE TO PLAN FOR YOUR CREW VEHICLE LOCALLY AND/OR ANY CREW THAT YOU MAY WANT ADDITIONALLY.
  6. PLAN FOR YOUR CREW STAY AT THE RACE VENUE AND LOGISTICS.
  7. UNDERSTAND RUNNING IN EXTREME CONDITIONS SUCH AS WEATHER, TERRAIN, AND PLAN YOUR TRAINING ACCORDINGLY.
  8. CHOOSE A FEW WELL-MANAGED AND MODERATELY TOUGH TRAIL RACES PRIOR TO THE ACTUAL RACE AS TRAINING RACES.
  9. GET YOUR COMPLETE MEDICAL CHECK.
  10. CHOOSE YOUR GEAR AND TRAIN WITH IT.
  11. CHOOSE YOUR CREW CAREFULLY.
  12. WORKOUT YOUR RACE PLAN WITH YOUR CREW AND TRAIN WITH THEM IF POSSIBLE.
  13. IF YOU ARE TRAVELING TO INDIA FOR THE RACE, ARRIVE IN INDIA EARLIER THAN THE RACE MANDATED SCHEDULE IF POSSIBLE.
  14. IF YOU NOT USED TO WATER OTHER THAN PROCESSED AND FILTERED WATER, ENSURE YOU CHOOSE YOUR WATER SOURCES IN INDIA CAREFULLY.
  15. ARRIVE AT THE RACE VENUE AS PER SCHEDULE TO ACCLIMATIZE.
