Monica Jhaveri is a Mumbai-based wildlife enthusiast, avid birder, and photographer who actively contributes to bird-watching initiatives and educational programs in India. She is also a sustainable fashion designer and the founder of the label Monica Jhaveri, which often draws inspiration from nature and wildlife.
She is a key contributor to this initiative (part of Feather and Flutter), which launched at the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary. The program focuses on community birding and documenting local species like Blue-cheeked Bee-eaters and Painted Storks.
Educational Workshops: Curated the "Birds are Us" workshop at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai, aimed at helping the public connect with urban nature through birding.
Wildlife Education: Through her "Ignite Learning Centre," she leads nature trails and workshops for children, teaching them about mammals, seed dispersal, and birding through hands-on forest experiences.
