Awaaz ki Azaadi

It is a platform for all poetry enthusiasts to unite and make their voices heard, to articulate their opinion on issues that are affecting humanity the most at this point in time. Our aim is to create an open space for creative minds to collaborate and through their power of words raise awareness on issues like poverty, hunger, education, child labour, girl child, sexual identity, domestic and sexual abuse, the need for an inclusive world and more. It is GiveIndia’s attempt to kickstart a creative space to discuss social issues that are often brushed under the carpet due to our daily grind. We want to be able to provide a platform to artists, thinkers, social activists and everyday people to take time out to indulge in dialogues, debates and discussions and what better way than to do it all in a mad, creative way?

Guidelines

We invite anyone above 16 years of age to participate with original content in English, Hindi, Urdu and Kannada on the theme set by us. Each participant will be given 5 minutes to perform. It is not a competition but a means to exchange ideas and create a dialogue on issues that demand our attention.

Theme: Poverty

Poverty has gutted our society, it has expanded its depreciating claws right till the very root of humanity and destroying the very spirit of mankind each day. It is a social evil that we have to fight, united and strong as a community. We open this forum to artists who want to raise awareness on this issue and kickstart a dialogue on this dreaded phenomenon--Poverty!
