Day1
Our representative will greet you and meet you at Shillong followed by a road trip to Mawlyngba.
The scenic village of Mawlyngbna is located on a hilltop. This serene village is famous for its rich fossils of animals dating back to 200 million years. Within the village are several natural springs that supply clean fresh water year-round. On the outskirts of the village is a large broadleaf forest which is famous for endangered predaceous pitcher plant. From the hilltop one can witnesses the dramatic sequence of the rolling Khasi hills merging into the Bangladesh plains.
There are also numbers of picturesque waterfalls among which the most notable ones are Um Diengkain and Ar Phalat waterfalls. There is also an adventure park run by Mawlyngbna village community which offers adventure sports like swimming, zip-lining, fishing, kayaking and boating. In order to showcase their culture, the community holds local dances, displays their handicrafts like handlooms, baskets and implements at the village museum.
• 7:00 am: Depart from Shiillong to Mawlyngbna
• 10:30 am: Introduction of the Participants and the Instructors
• Briefing about the Event and the activities in Mawlyngbna
• Briefing about the Criteria of choosing the winners
• Lunch
• Teaching the Participants how to setup a Tent
• Introduction to Camping ethics
• Safety in campsite, how to make fire, topic on a responsible traveler and outdoor gears
• Evening tea
• Village tour
• 9:00 pm: Dinner
Day2
The day starts with a delicious breakfast followed by canoeing and Kayaking.
Later after lunch we head for sightseeing.
• 8:00 am: Breakfast and Briefing about the days activities
• 9:00 am : Start Nature walk and followed by the River canyoning, kayaking at Umkhakoi reservoir
• 1:00 pm: Lunch
• After lunch Visit Split rock, Trek to Umseiniong waterfall (Riat Islo)
• 6:00 pm: Back to the Campsite
• 6:30 pm: Bonfire and Campfire games to bond the relationship of the Participants and boosting team work.
• 8:00 pm: Dinner
• Followed by two travel videos
Day3
• 8:00 am: Breakfast
• 9:00am: Start trekking to the Fossil park, iew luri lura (khasi folklore) and Umdikain Water fall
• 12:30 pm: Lunch
• 1:00 pm: Start disassemble the tents and check-out
• 2:00 pm: Depart from Mawlyngbna to Nongriat village
• 5:00 pm: Arrive at Tyrna parking lot
• 5:30 pm: Start hiking down the 2500 steps to reach Nongriat village
• 7:30 pm: check-in at the Homestay in Nongriat
• 8:00 pm: Dinner
Day4
• 7:00 am: Breakfast and Briefing about the activities
• 8:00 am: Start trekking to the Rainbow falls and Swim in the Natural Swimming pools and visit the Double Decker Living root Bridge
• 1:00 pm: Lunch and Check-out
• 2:00 pm: Hike back the 2500 steps which it will take 2 hours to reach to the parking lot.
• 2:30 pm : Depart from Tyrna village to Umden Village
• 6:30 pm: Arrive at Umden Traveler’s Nest check-in and start pitching up the tent in the campsite
• 7:30 pm: bonfire
• 9:00 pm: Dinner
Day5
• 8:00 am: Breakfast
• 9:30 am: Start Noodling (an activity of caching fish with bare hand
• 11:30 am : Followed by Silk tour
• 1:00 pm: Lunch
• 2:00 pm: Start disassemble the tents and Check-out
• 3:00 pm: Back to Guwahati Airport
