Adventure Trek: Dhak to Bhimashankar

Winter is Coming!!! 
The season for long and overnight treks is here. Let’s welcome the season with this magnificent trek from Dhak to Bhimashankar. 
Dhak is a fort known for the caves of Dhak cha Bahiri, a shrine for many devotees. The forest surrounding Dhak is evergreen. The trek route from Dhak to Bhimashankar is a scenic walk on edge of the Sahyadri passing through Kusur Pathar (Plateau), SavalaVillage, Wandre Khind and Vajantri Ghat top. The trekking distance is roughly 40 kms to be covered in two days. 
Bhimashankar Forests are a wildlife sanctuary established in 1985. The forests have unique biodiversity and are home to Maharashtra’s state animal – Shekru the Giant Squirrel. Bhimashankar also is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. 
Trekking here is definitely once in a lifetime experience and must do for hardcore trekkers. Zenith Odysseys is trekking here on 17 and 18 November 2018. See you there!
