ACTING CLASSES WITH SAURABH SACHDEVA

The Acing Course focuses strongly on your sense of being and doing. While in the course, you will go through exercises that are intense, targeting the awareness and use of the necessary tools of an Actor – The body, the mind, the voice and the craft.

As an Actor and more importantly as an artist, you must understand the full use of your instrument. The course not only makes you aware of it, but also shapes the process of utilizing it in a performance.

Using teaching experience acquired over 15 years of learning and training over 800+ actors across the country, we have designed an intensive course that covers all the necessary aspects you would need to truly perform.

SENSE OF BEING BY ‘ERIC MORRIS’

To be a great Actor, you first need to be. The sense of being brings about the awareness an actor needs of his 5 senses and become more expressive in a scene. The experience of the exercises makes the actor aware and surprised by their own potential. Discovering newfound-abilities that make the whole process very relaxed and powerful.

AWARENESS AND MOVEMENT

All Artist have their instrument, the Actor has ‘The Body’ ‘The Voice’ and ‘The Temperament’. To recognize the connections between the body and the mind using somatic education, we employ gentle movements and directed attention to improve movement and enhance the functioning of an actor.

FINDING YOUR VOICE

The primary goal of this training is to reinforce and supplement the work in Voice & Speech, focusing on building the actor’s vocal instrument by using singing as a tool.

THE STEPHEN BOOK TECHNIQUE

Learning Improvisation Technique begins with immediate training in how to improvise. Book’s fundamental principle of improvisation is “Acting is doing, and there is always more to do.” The actor learns what to do to keep himself in a spontaneous improvisational state.

AUDITIONING

Auditioning is the art of being extraordinary spontaneously, the final obstacle and the ultimate test. It is the first performance and the last test you give as a character to your casting director, who then gives you the chance to do that for the larger audience. We teach you what to do when you get there and deliver what exactly they are looking for.

Mentor Saurabh Sachdeva

Saurabh Sachdeva, is an Acting Teacher and a Filmmaker who has accumulated experience training and teaching alongside acting coach Barry John for over 15 years.

Over the years Mr. Saurabh Sachdeva has taught many successful actors like Frieda Pinto, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vani Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Richa Chadda, Harshvardhan Rane, Rana Daggubati and many more. He has also taken workshops for many Bollywood films. In the past Mr. Saurabh has directed and acted in a number of plays in Delhi and Mumbai. Last year he directed a mini-feature titled ‘GUL’ which is currently on festival rounds and was applauded specially at the Kerala International Film festival.

Recently he acted in a critically acclaimed film ‘Maroon’ which was well received in MAMI 2016 and has now released digitally on iTunes and Netflix. He now juggles between his production house and conducting his own regular workshops for students working strongly on their sense of being and doing while acting with the sole mission to fuel more impacting performances. Saurabh’s production is simultaneously working on a Feature Film, which he has scripted with his team and will be directing it with a well-known production house this year.
