Are you a book worm? Even if your answer is yes or no it doesn't matter because the place where we are taking you this Sunday offers a plethora of things for everyone. Kutub Khana-e-Asafia, popularly known as State Central Library Hyderabad is a heritage monument. Built in 1891 as a personal library of Syed Hussain Bilgrami and later converted into a public library, with an objective to collect literature on various disciplines including art, architecture, science and technology. It's high ceilings and huge halls attract not only the book lovers but anybody and everybody who has interest in history and architecture. The library houses more than 5 lakhs books in many languages.
Our next destination after visiting the library is the grand mosque of Afzal gunj which stood the time for more than 300 years, and is right adjacent to Osmania General hospital.
About Your Curator:
Mohammad Abdul Nayeem holds a Ph.D. in Management and teaches Organisational Behavior. He loves Urdu prose and poetry, Indian art and architecture, movies and music. Born and brought up in Hyderabad, he has extensive knowledge of the city's heritage, history, and legacy. He loves to share the stories of Hyderabad's lanes, mohallas, and tehzeeb (etiquette). He also volunteers at Lamakaan, an open cultural space in Hyderabad.

Guidelines:
- Please wear comfortable clothes & footwear and carry your own drinking water.
- There are religious places on visit. Participants are expected to wear modestly and follow the norms of the places. Men are requested to refrain from shorts.
- Photograpy is allowed.
- Parking is available inside the library.

·- There are lots of foods joints inside and around the market. One can have anything at their own expense.
