People who judge a book by the cover, more or less end up buying it!!!
We Designers generally put in little effort initially because the project hasn't been awarded to us yet. And this is where we open that little window to let the project slip out of our hands.
As an Architect or Interior Designer, the attention to detail and effort in the first design proposal can go a long way toward showing a potential client the quality of your work and the care with which you approach projects.
When a potential client's first impression of your firm's work is often your proposal, that first impression needs to show the attention to detail and efforts that you put into your work. Make sure to think through every possible way a potential client will interact with your firm and the materials you provide them.
We sometimes don't realize that the client may not imagine the space well as you do. Visual concepts are a constant source of inspiration, the huge motivators that make them get a better idea about the design proposal.
