Overview:
7 Days of Pedaling Patriotism is a virtual cycling event where participants from all over India can showcase their patriotism and love for the country through a series of daily activities and rides. Riders will participate from their own areas and engage in various activities aimed at promoting patriotism, community engagement, and environmental awareness. Awards will be given for overall maximum distance and elevation, as well as surprise awards for daily achievements.
Day 1: Flag Ride
- Participants gather at their respective locations.
- Attach the Indian flag to your bicycles.
- Ride through your local area, showcasing the flag prominently.
- Share pictures and videos on social media platforms using #PedalingPatriotism.
- Distance target: 15 km minimum.
Day 2: Shaheed Statue Cleanup
- Riders identify a local Shaheed (martyr) statue or memorial in their area.
- Bring cleaning supplies (buckets, brushes, water, soap).
- Clean and maintain the statue, paying homage to our heroes.
- Document the cleanup efforts with photos and share on social media.
- Distance target: 10 km minimum.
Day 3: Historical Tour
- Research and create a cycling route that includes historical landmarks in your area.
- Share the route with other participants.
- Explore these sites while learning about their historical significance.
- Share your experiences and knowledge on social media.
- Distance target: 20 km minimum.
Day 4: Local for Vocal
- Support local businesses by planning a ride to visit local shops and markets.
- Buy products and services from these businesses.
- Promote the "Vocal for Local" concept by sharing your purchases online.
- Share stories about the businesses you visited.
- Distance target: 12 km minimum.
Day 5: Veteran Appreciation
- Reach out to local veterans or their families in your community.
- Organize a small event to appreciate and honor their service or Present gifts or tokens of appreciation.
- Share stories and experiences on social media to inspire others if possible.
- Distance target: 10 km minimum.
Day 6: Environmental Awareness
- Organize a ride to a nearby park, forest, or natural area.
- Bring trash bags and gloves to clean up litter.
- Educate participants about the importance of preserving the environment.
- Share before-and-after pictures of the clean-up efforts.
- Distance target: 15 km minimum.
Day 7: Community Unity
- Host a community event in your locality.
- Invite neighbors, friends, and fellow cyclists.
- Organize games, music, or cultural activities.
