TRAINING : QUICK TEST PROFESSIONAL (QTP)
OVERVIEW :
This course has been created specifically for end users of the HP Quick Test Professional application. This course will introduce you to Quick Test Professional and how it captures, verifies and replays user interactions automatically, helps testers quickly identify and report on application defects, and provides advanced functionality for test collaboration. This course consists of the presentation of key terms and concepts, product demonstrations, self-assessments, Handouts and FAQs.
This course covers basic QTP, Advance QTP, Vb Scripting, Descriptive Programming & Framework Development.
PREREQUISITES:
Working knowledge of Quality Assurance testing processes, the software development lifecycle, Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office products
OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

- Work with objects and understand how to use the various tools available to manage objects
- Insert checkpoints for verifying the expected results in the test case
- Data drive the scripts using parameters and data files
- Modularize scripts to make them re-usable
- Handle applications that use custom objects that cannot be recorded by standard methods
- Add VBScript code to enhance script functionality
- Do advanced manipulation of run time objects
- Create custom functions and use function libraries
- Use programmatic descriptions to work with objects
- Use external data sources like excel files to input data into script
- Create recovery scenarios using built in wizard and custom functions
- Build automation frameworks to optimize the automation effort
