Sahyadri Hills Ultra (SHU) returns in 2026 with a refined, thoughtfully curated route through the scenic, vehicle-free roads of Lavasa.
This is not just a race. It is a monsoon ultra challenge built around:

Route Overview
All routes are designed with loops originating from Main Gate – Lake Resort – Arch sections.
25K: Main Gate → Lake Resort → 1 Loop
35K: Main Gate → Lake Resort + Extended Section
50K: Main Gate → Lake Resort toward Arch (Same as previous edition)
75K: Main Gate → Lake Resort → Arch → Additional Loop
100K:
Loop 1: Lake Resort → Arch → Main Gate
Loop 2: Main Gate → Lake Resort → Arch
Routes are carefully curated to balance challenge, elevation, and safety.

Eligibility
Participants must be medically fit.
Minimum age: 18 years (100K / 75K / 50K)
Organizers reserve the right to request qualifying credentials for ultra distances.
Mandatory Gear (100K – Night Start)
For 100 KM participants:
Headlamp (mandatory)
Backup light or battery
Reflective gear recommended
Participants without mandatory gear may not be allowed to start.
Cut-Off Policy
Strict cut-offs will be enforced.
Participants missing intermediate cut-offs may be withdrawn for safety reasons.
Organizer decisions on cut-offs are final.
Safety & Insurance
All participants are covered under event insurance.
Medical aid and ambulances will be stationed strategically.
Organizers reserve the right to modify route or timing due to weather or safety concerns.
Disqualification
Participants may be disqualified for:
Route deviation
Littering
Unsportsmanlike behavior
External pacing (unless officially allowed)
Ignoring safety instructions
Refund & Transfer Policy
Registration fees are non-refundable.
Transfer policies (if any) will be communicated separately.
Media Consent
By registering, participants consent to the use of their photographs/videos for event promotion.
FAQs
Q. Is the route fully vehicle-free and Is night running safe for 100K?
Lavasa provides controlled and very low to zero traffic roads. Safety marshals and route control will be deployed. Routes are safe, however Headlamps are mandatory for 100K runners
Q. Are aid stations well stocked?
Aid stations will include:
Water
Electrolytes
Basic nutrition
Medical support
Placement is based on distance (~7 KM) and terrain logic.
Q. Can I downgrade distance?
Downgrade requests (if permitted) must be made before bib allocation
Q. Is there an age category prize?
Yes. Prizes are distributed for:
Male & Female
Below 50 & Above 50
Q. What happens in case of extreme weather?
Organizers reserve the right to delay, pause, reroute, or cancel the race in the interest of participant safety.
