IMFIT ICHALKARANJI HALF MARATHON 2023 - Edition 5

The event is conceptualized by 'Ichalkaranji Runner Foundation' and brought into reality by the 'I M Fit' Club whose dedication towards fitness is unquestionable and who wanted to promote and nurture distance running as a tool to foster health awareness and to bring the entire local community together for a common cause.

The last event “I M Fit Club Half Marathon Ichalkaranji” saw overwhelming participation and appreciation from all degrees and dimensions. Highlighting the same we present the below mentioned statistics for your attention. We had more than 2500 participants across all segments and a crowd of more than 4000 people to cheer and support the runners. Nearly 400 volunteers worked to carve out the event from conception, planning, implementation till final closing.

Around 25 companies were proud sponsors of the event. More than 15 local NGOs and 6 Schools gave their patronage to this event. The most notable fact was that at the planning stage the management had a target of 1200 participants which turned out more than 2500 making it a more than 200% capacity utilization event.

This year we plan to take the flagship marathon event on 24th of Dec 2023 with a target of more than 5000 participants making it twice a bigger event.The marathon route passes through the heart of the textile town giving a visual treat about the best of Ichalkaranji. It will consist many of the scenic and historic locations along with thousands of spectators lining up the course to cheer runners. This event will become the most anticipated running festival in due course of time for Ichalkaranji. This event will create a carnival atmosphere in Ichalkaranji because of its novelty and scale.

This is not a race to compete but to beat your own self. This is not about coming as the best but it is about endurance and not giving up. This is about staying put till the end and completing with a big broad smile.

On the dedicated route of Marathon arrangements ranging medical aid and hydration are all very well covered up.

Runners will be accompanied by pacers who will keep charging and motivating them throughout. Whether you choose to run or walk, you'll find no reason to complain. To top it all there will be entertainment pre and post event.
