Creative Photography Advance level workshop

Creative Dance Photography workshop for those of you who wish to go level next, experiment on complex lighting and yet keep it simple.

For the workshop we have invited the acclaimed dancer Preethi Bharadwaj who will collaborate with the photographers on their themes.

The themes will be worked out one day before with the dancer so that each photographer gets to shoot his/her expression correctly.

The Advance level photography workshop gets you to allow Creative Expressions to flow into the shoot and allow you to experiment in a controlled environment using light modifiers to understand the nuances of light and shadow.

The workshop then continues to work with Lightroom & Photoshop. This brings you to a different league altogether whereby your photos will stand out from the masses.

The key differentiator in any image is to make it matter. This is what Living Lens brings you a direct one on one session of learning with professional and award winning photographer Sreekumar Krishnan.

· Photography fundamentals Refresher

· Understanding Light & Shadows: Practical shooting with models with a creative Theme

· Understanding & Using Lightroom to get the base correct

· Processing and finishing with Photoshop

· Using Photoshop to empower your Creativity.

Day Schedule:

9-30 am : Going through basics and a refresher into fundamentals of photography

10 -11:00 am: Natural Light, Artificial light shooting with strobes and continuous lights

11:00 – 12 noon: Basic Lightroom work

12:00 – 12:30 pm: Lunch

1 pm – 3pm: Shooting with the model

3- 4:30pm: Lightroom & Photoshop work

4:30 – 4:45 pm: Tea break 

4:45 – 6 pm: Post production continues 

6 – 6:30pm: Queries & Discussion

End of Day

Morning session will be on Photoshop & Lightroom post production and then afternoon on the Dance which will be followed by post production session.

We will be looking at a small batch size so that we can spend time adequately and handle doubts and queries. Those who are seriously interested and who wish to experiment further with Shooting style and creative work should apply. 

About the teacher:

Sreekumar Krishnan - Professional award winning photographer, spiritualist and a light-hearted individual.

Having worked 20 years in the Advertising and Marketing industry he last headed the MRM//McCann in Bangalore for 8 years, he carries the base foundation for what qualifies to create great images, which matter in terms of communication. The early years of photographing in film roll mode, gave him a sound foundation of understanding of light and the ways to create exceptional images.

He turned professional in 2014 and believes in the core philosophy that taking a photograph is easy but making an Image is an art. His images capture a reflection of the soul that one can adorn on the walls of eternity. In a short period of time his images have won awards in various photo competitions in India including Canon Rotary Click a pic, featured in a world wide calendar of an International Bank, selected as photo of the day in National Geographic, exhibited in Bangalore and in London. His portrait photograph – Indian Sunshine was featured at the Louvre in France as part of an international photo competition.

Today he shoots candid moments for families and children in what is called a spiritual cleansing bringing the best in the person as large format prints.

He also works specifically with brands to help create images for advertising where some of the brands include Google, Hero Motocorp, GE Healthcare and many others.

Recently he shot exclusively for Mrs. India Karnataka edition, World on a Plate event 2016 with the Australian Masterchefs and for the fastest Indian – CS Santosh, offroader biker.

His workshops are one on one, a deeper understanding on creating better images using simple techniques, which have basis in spirituality, and the way nature works. When he is not shooting, he teaches meditation for he finds both photography and spirituality are based on the Light and he explores this aspect in his journey of the Light.
