Step beyond the courtroom and onto the pickleball court.

Beyond the Bar is a unique curated networking evening especially for female lawyers (corporate and litigation), legal journalists, legal marketing professionals and students to connect, unwind, and celebrate community through sport.

Whether you’re closing cases or picking up a paddle for the first time, this event is your chance to play, build meaningful connections, and relax in the company of other inspiring women in law.

Event Flow

​We kick off at 5:30 PM with a casual meet-up, followed by light ice-breakers and introductions. From 6:45 to 8 PM, it's game time on the pickleball court — no pressure, just fun and friendly play. The night ends with relaxed socials, food, and drinks under the lights.

FAQ  Section

1. What should I wear to the event?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in while playing — activewear and sports shoes are ideal. If you’re just coming to soak in the vibe and skip pickleball, feel free to dress casually. There’s a space available for changing, so you’re welcome to bring an extra outfit. We’d love it if you wore something pink!

2. What’s the flow of the event?

We’ll kick things off with entry and a quick intro, followed by a fun icebreaker. Then it’s time for pickleball! (The bar and snacks will be open during this time.) After gameplay, the social zone opens up — think games, conversations, and good energy.

3. Is carpooling an option?

Yes! On Saturday morning, we’ll add you to a WhatsApp group with people coming from your area so you can coordinate travel. If you aren’t added to a group, it likely means there’s no one attending from nearby.

4. Can I cancel or get a refund?

As we’re now within 24 hours of the event, cancellations and refunds will not be accepted.

6. Is it mandatory to know how to play pickleball or to play pickleball to attend this event?
