First Drop Theatre
brings to you an exciting and intensive workshop where you get to learn the basic skills, values, and rituals of Playback Theatre. This four-day (30 hrs.) workshop is a certified, Level 1 workshop structured as per the curriculum of the Centre for Playback Theatre (USA). The workshop covers the basic skills of Improv and Interactive theatre and dives deeper into the various forms within Playback Theatre including Fluid Sculptures, Pairs, Corridors, Stories and more.
You will get to explore the different roles within a Playback ensemble; that of a Conductor, Musician and Actor. The workshop is designed for those who have no prior exposure to Playback Theatre or any form of theatre, as well as to people who are relatively new to this format.

Anyone who is 16+ and interested in improv, expression, spontaneity, creativity, and stagecraft.

What is Playback Theatre?
Playback Theatre is an improvisational, interactive format of theatre where the actors play out the real-life moments and stories shared by the audience, on-the-spot - using with text, movement, images, sounds, metaphors and more. Through a safe and non-judgmental environment, Playback Theatre enables a forum of dialogue, shared emotions, self-reflection and deep connections.
Radhika Jain is an accredited trainer from the Centre for Playback Theatre (USA) and the co-founder of First Drop Theatre. Radhika is also an Expressive Arts therapy practitioner and combines the elements of Expressive Arts with the tools of theatre in her sessions with individuals and groups
