Event Information

A walking event for the trusted feet, our elders, who guided our families through thick and thin of life and always shown us the way. Walking is one of the simple activities which keeps body healthy and mind sound. Walking is also the most popular recovery exercise post illness.

Regular brisk walking can help to:
# Maintain a healthy weight.
# Prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
# Strengthen your bones and muscles.
# Improve your mood.
# Improve your balance and coordination.

Inviting all the senior citizens who have can walk the talk.
It’s a month long challenge, from June 1 to June 30

  • I am Targeting 7,500 steps in 30 days (out of which 15 are rest days)- Rs 0/-
  • I am Targeting 15,000 steps in 30 days (out of which 15 are rest days)- Rs 0/-
  • I am Targeting 54,000 steps in 30 days (out of which 12 are rest days)- Rs 0/-
  • I am Targeting 90,000 steps in 30 days (out of which 12 are rest days)- Rs 0/-
  • I am Targeting 150,000 steps in 30 days (out of which 10 are rest days)- Rs 0/-
  • I am Targeting 260,000 steps in 30 days (out of which 4 are rest days)- Rs 0/-
  • I am Targeting 312,000 steps in 30 days (out of which 4 are rest days)- Rs 0/-


Know more about Trusted Feet Walking Challenge:
# People who have turned 60yrs on May 31st or above 60 years of age can participate in this event.
# Consult your physician before registering if you are not a regular walker
# You can register for any one category listed in chart.
# All you have to do, is to walk mentioned number of steps in your category.
# You can run too, if you can. But you can post only your step counts
# You will have to mandatorily rest for number of days as mentioned in your chosen category out of total 30 days.
# You have flexibility to choose your rest days. In case you don’t require rest days then you can finish your activity early e.g. If you had 15 days rest and you don’t need rest days then you can finish you activity in 15 days.
# You may choose to walk any number of step between the limits mentioned for your category e.g. If you have chosen 500 steps category then you should not do less than 250 steps and more than 500 steps in day.
# Each day starts at 12:01am and finishes at 11:59pm
# On rest days, you may do flexibility exercises, yoga or breathing exercises.
# Walk, wherever you want to, be it in your society, nearby park or at home but follow the health # advisory issued by local health department.
# Do remember to mind the gap of 2m from the fellow walker or passer-by whenever you go out of home.
# Wear mask whenever walking outside on the street or in park.
# Duration of the Challenge- June 1 to June 30, 2020 (30 days)
# You will have fill and update your walking details daily by clicking on the link
# You can also see your progress on leader board and check your ranking in your category (including age and gender wise)
# You can not enter more than 2 days of data in a go and you can not enter data if it is more than 48hrs old.
Rewards-
# Your activity or challenge will be considered finish when you have walked for targeted number of days in your category e.g. If you have chosen 500 steps category then you should walk for total 15 days
# Once you complete this challenge, you can download your finisher certificate and your finisher medal will be sent to you by courier at your address
