The Makers of India is an initiative by Sarmang Adventure Tours to remember the roles of the persons who contributed in making India a great nation. We are coming up with a series of virtual walk, run and ride on their birth anniversary and other important days.
We are coming up with virtual event to celebrate birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on 15 October.
Kalam was born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. His father Jainulabdeen was a boat owner and imam of a local mosque; his mother Ashiamma was a housewife. At an early age, he sold newspapers to supplement his family's income.
APJ Abdul Kalam was also known as the 'Missile Man of India' for his contribution to the development of India's missile projects, Prithvi and Agni missiles. India became a nuclear power under Kalam who was the Chief Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister between 1992 and 1999 He was bestowed with many prestigious honours among which Bharat Ratna is also included.
Kalam was elected as the 11th president of India in 2002 with the support of both the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the then-opposition Indian National Congress. Widely referred to as the "People's President", he returned to his civilian life of education, writing and public service after a single term

4. The ticket is not transferable to other person or other target distance
