T3WR - COORG (KADAGU)

Kodagu also known as Coorg, is an administrative district in Karnataka, India. It occupies an area of 4,102 square kilometres (1,584 sq mi) in the Western Ghats of southwestern Karnataka. In 2001 its population was 548,561, 13.74% of which resided in the district's urban centres, making it the least populous of the 30 districts in Karnataka. The district is bordered by Dakshina Kannada district to the northwest, Hassan district to the north, Mysore district to the east, Kannur district of Kerala to the southwest, and the Wayanad district of Kerala to the south. Agriculture is the most important factor that upholds the economy of Kodagu and the main crops cultivated in this region are rice and coffee. Coorg is rich in natural resources which included timber and spices. Madikeri (English: Mercara) is the headquarters of Kodagu.

ITINERARY:

Day 01: Mumbai to Mangalore

Assemble at  LTT at 11.00 Am to Board our Train 06345 TVC SPL. Departing at 11.40 Am

Overnight in Train.

Day 2, - Reach Manglore Central in morning at 06.00 am. Board our Bus Transfer to Coorg.We reach around 12.30 pm Check in to our Hotel.

Evening visit Raja seat (View point) to enjoy Sunset and then Musical Fountain (if open).

Overnight in Hotel.

Day 3, - After Breakfast visit Dubare Elephant Forest. (Elephant feeding , bathing, activities).

Rafting and elephant ride are optional (self cost).

Back to hotel for Lunch. Post Lunch visit Golden Temple (Buddhist Monastery). And Cauvery NisargDham. (Bamboo plantation deer park) elephant rides optional at park. Back to Hotel. (Evening at Leisure, shopping at local market)

Day 4, - After Breakfast visit Omkareshwar Temple, Talacauvery (birth place of Cauvery River) and Bagmandala (Triveni sangam). Back to hotel for Lunch. Post Lunch visit Abby water falls. Back to Hotel.

Day 5 - After checkout have Breakfast. Transfer to Mangalore by coach. Lunch at mangalore. And Board our train 01134  departing at 14.00 hrs.

Day 6 - Reach CSTM early morning at 04.35 hrs. Tour ends.
