This workshop will touch upon the entire journey of a script from story in detail - Where do stories come from? How do we find them in the world around us? What is the difference between a good idea and a good story? How are stories converted into movies that we all love to watch?

Key Focus areas of the Scriptwriting Workshop:
1. Understand The BIG IDEA - What is the overarching theme of the story. How is it different from the main story? Why is it important to know the big idea.
2. Choosing The Apt Rendition For THE BIG IDEA - What is the plot? Understand and create plot points to enhance the story line. Understanding the 3 act structure and how to break it.
3. How Will The Story Play On SCREEN - Essentials of screenplay writing- elements that add to making a sound screenplay plot, character, structure, scene construction, and dialogue. Impact of screenplay on the story.
Apart from this we will also look at some of your favourite movies and the role the script had in making it such a wonderful watch!
Course Instructor: Remya Muralidharan is a Media Consultant responsible for social media and mass media content for one of the prominent Government ministries in New Delhi. Previously she has worked with Milward Brown as a senior research executive for more than 3 years. Other than that, she has worked for brands like Flying Bee Films, Big Synergy and NDTV Good Times.
