TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION
Event: Times Run Against Cancer 2026
Date: 15th March 2026
Organizer: Optimal Media Solutions (Times of India) (“Organizer”)
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the registration and participation in the Event. By registering for the Event, the participant (“Participant”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Registration
1. Participants must warrant and represent that they meet the prescribed age requirements for their respective categories as on the date of the Event.
• 10 KM & 05 KM (Timed Run): Minimum 14 years of age.
• 03 KM & 01 KM (Fun Run): Open to all ages provided that any participant under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered guardian who is also a registered participant.
2. Accuracy of Information: Participants must provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. The Organizer reserves the absolute right to disqualify any Participant who provides false or incorrect information.
3. Non-Transferable: Registration for the Event is personal to the participant and is strictly non-transferable. Bibs and timing chips (to be worn by participants in the 10 KM and 05 KM categories) are assigned to a specific individual and cannot be swapped or given to another person.
4. Registration Fees: All registration fees are non-refundable and non-adjustable under any circumstances whatsoever, including but not limited to injury, schedule conflicts, or cancellation of the Event due to a Force Majeure event.
2. Health and Safety Declaration
1. Acknowledgement of Physical Exertion: The Participant acknowledges that participation in the Event involves significant physical exertion and inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury, illness, or death. The Participant represents and warrants that they are in good physical health, medically fit, and adequately trained to participate in the Event. The Participant agrees to participate voluntarily and at their own risk.
2. Medical Waiver: The Participant voluntarily and expressly assumes all risks associated with participation in the Event, including but not limited to falls, collisions or contact with other participants, volunteers, vehicles, or spectators; effects of weather conditions (including heat, humidity, rain, wind, and extreme temperatures); traffic; road and surface conditions; equipment failure; and any other foreseeable or unforeseeable hazards. The Participant acknowledges that such risks may result in serious bodily injury, illness, permanent disability, or death and agrees to participate voluntarily and entirely at their own risk.
3. Medical Consent: The Organizer has partnered with Yashoda Medicity to provide basic medical support. The Participant consents to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, or illness during the Event and agrees to be responsible for any costs related to medical care beyond the basic first aid provided on-site by the Healthcare Partner.
3. Event Conduct and Rules
1. Event Alterations: The Organizer reserves the unilateral right to modify the Event route, start time, or distance if required for safety, traffic, or regulatory reasons. The Organizer may enforce cut-off times for different categories to ensure the roads can be reopened to traffic on schedule. Participants failing to meet these times may be asked to move to the footpath or withdraw. Participants shall comply with all instructions from race officials, volunteers, and law enforcement. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disqualification.
2. Timing and Results: The timing and results as determined the Run Partner (PikuSports) and the Organizer are final and binding Timing chips (wherever applicable) shall be worn correctly by participants in the 10 KM and 05 KM categories to be eligible for rankings. Winners must be present at the venue to claim awards and may be required to produce valid age proof.
3. Cut-off Times: The Organizer may enforce cut-off times for different categories to ensure the roads can be reopened to traffic on schedule. Participants failing to meet these times may be asked to move to the footpath or withdraw.
4. Media Rights and Publicity
1. Consent to Photograph: The Participant grants the Organizer and its partners the exclusive, unlimited, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty free licence to use the Participant’s name, likeness, voice, and image in any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, newspaper, or any other record of this Event.
2. Publication: The Participant specifically acknowledges and agrees that group photos and event coverage will be published in the Times Run Against Cancer and other associated media platforms for publicity and promotional purposes without compensation or further notice.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
1. Ownership: The Participant acknowledges and agrees that all intellectual property rights, titles, interests, commercial exploitation associated with the Event, including but not limited to the trademarks, trade names, service marks, logos, and branding of "Times Run Against Cancer 2026" (collectively, the "Event IP"), are and shall remain the exclusive property of the "Organizer
2. No License Granted: Participation in the Event does not grant the Participant any right, title, or license to use the Event IP for any purpose whatsoever, except as expressly permitted herein.
3. Prohibited Use: The Participant is expressly prohibited from using the Event IP for any commercial purpose, including in any advertising or promotional material, or in any manner `without the prior express written consent of the Organizer.
6. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
1. Release: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant hereby releases, waives, and discharges the Organizer , partners and all other Sponsors and their respective agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury (including death) that may be sustained by the Participant while participating in the Event.
2. Indemnity: The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, its employees, Sponsors, respective agents or representatives and its partners against any claims or losses (including legal and attorney fees) caused due to participation at the Event, any breach of the Terms and conditions, or violation of applicable laws, any negligence, wrongful act, omission, or any claim brought by the Participant or third party claims arising due to participation of the Participant.. The Participant acknowledges that this indemnity is in addition to and independent of any waiver or release of these Terms and Conditions and shall survive the Event.
7. Force Majeure: The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the Event due to unforeseen circumstances or from any cause beyond the Organizer’s control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, or public health emergencies. In such cases, no refunds will be issued
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Event shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi.
