Today organizations are collecting and processing lot of personal data for business purposes. However, most of the organization don’t know how much data they have, where is the data stored, and if the collected personal data is used only for the defined purpose or for some other purposes as well. As organizations are going digital and adopting more technologies, managing the personal data and its protection, and compliances to personal data related regulations or laws is becoming more challenging. Especially for organizations who have multi-geography presence, they have to comply with local privacy regulations in each geography.
Considering the importance of protecting personal information and compliance with Privacy regulations or laws, IIA Bombay Chapter is planning to host a Round Table on “Data Privacy”.
