Applying for a PhD abroad can be intimidating, and it is hard to know what to do or where to start. The goal of this workshop, the first of a series, is to provide you with a framework for understanding how to approach a PhD application in the Humanities or Social Sciences, including a list of tasks and a tentative timeline for accomplishing them. With this background, you will start on the right foot to create a successful application.
The workshops will be lead by Tathagata Neogi (PhD Archaeology, University of Exeter) and Chelsea McGill (MA Social Sciences, University of Chicago), academics and the co-founders of Heritage Walk Calcutta.
This session is aimed at those planning to apply in 2020 for the 2021-2022 school year, or in 2021 for the 2022-2023 school year.
