Moves & Grooves - Online Dance Competition

With an aim to inspire the young dancers in these uncertain times of the ongoing Corona pandemic, we at "Townscript Originals" with "Delhi Dance Academy" as Supporting Partners are excited to offer a new kind of competition - an online-only dance competition!!  "Moves & Grooves". This will be an online contest and children, and youth of the age group from 6 Years to 24 Years across the country can take part and showcase their dance moves!!

How Does It Work?

1.) Register for the competition and fill in your details correctly.

2.) All the registered participants will be then divided into three age categories 6-12 Years and 13-16 and 17- 24 Years.

3.) Registered participants/dancers need to submit a dance video of 2-3 minutes showcasing their dance moves for the auditions.

4.) Your performance will then be evaluated and critiqued by the judging panel. All the participants will be judged based on some parameters and 60 points will be awarded for each of the parameters. You will receive an overall score out of 300 points.

5.) The overall scores and rankings will be posted online for all the participants to view and Top 5 participants from each of the age categories will be further selected for the Semi - Finale.

SEMI-FINAL ROUND (TOP 15 Round)

1.) The SEMI-FINALE for the Move & Grooves will take place a week after the date of the auditions.

2.) The SEMI-FINALE will be live-streamed on Zoom where the Top 5 participants from each category will again re-compete for the finales.

3.) Top 3 from each category will be selected for the "GRAND FINALE".

GRAND FINALE

1.) The GRAND FINALE for the Moves & Grooves will take place a day after the SEMI-FINALE

2.) The GRAND-FINALE will be again live-streamed on Zoom where the Top 3 participants from each category will again re-compete for the prizes and the title of "BEST MOVES & GROOVES"

3.) 3 finalists from all the 3 age category will be declared as the Winners of the competition.

JUDGEMENT PARAMETERS

Your performance will be judged and evaluated based on the below 5 parameters, each parameter will be of 60 points which makes the total as 300. Your overall performance will be evaluated out of 300 points.

4.) Music Interpretation & Timing

5.) Costume

MOVES & GROOVES JUDGES PANEL

1.) Muskan Kalra:-  Muskan Kalra is an Indian Youtuber and Tik Tok star who is well known for her dance. She started uploading her dance videos on YouTube when she was only 16 years old, her first dance video song on YouTube was Aashiq Banaya Aapne, and that video was uploaded in 2017 on her YouTube channel. Muskan has 1.25 Million subscribers on Youtube. She has a huge fan following on youtube because of her amazing dance moves.

2.) Tejas Dhoke:- Tejas Dhoke is a famous Bollywood dancer, who has inspired many to pursue their dreams. He is a self-made dancer. He runs a Youtube Channel to make people aware of his art with the Name DanceFit Live.  He has a huge fanbase over his youtube channel and the list has already crossed 4.29 million Subscribers.

3.) Ankita Singh:- She is having 20 years of dance experience in various styles including jazz, contemporary, Ballet & Ballroom forms (like salsa, bachata, jive, cha cha). In her professional dance journey, she has performed in shows of Shiamak Davar. Her journey also expanded professionally from being a Civil Engineer to Content Marketer & a Ballet Teacher.

RULES & REGULATIONS

1.) This is will be a solo competition and no-group entries would be allowed.

2.) All the dancers will compete at the same level and will be divided into 3 age categories.

3.) We accept all types of dance forms and there will be no restriction on it, you can select your own dance form in which you specialize.

4.) Videos may be filmed in your home or outside as long as the environment is safe for the dancer.

5.) The decision made by the Judge and the Organizing Team would be final.
