Master Class on Acting by Manil Mayank Mishra
The basic theme of the Master Class will be on
'How Not To Act' which means what exactly is the
difference between 'performing' a character and 'living' a character.
The Masterclass will comprise of breaking myths and conventions about acting and basically how 'doing nothing' on stage or in front of the camera is 'doing everything'. It will talk about how silence, breath and body gestures of an actor shall be equally communicating.
The Masterclass will also get into the depth of little nuances of 'characterisation' and what exactly should be the 'realistic' process of an actor for building a character thereby making the actor 'engaging' and not merely 'entertaining'. It will also talk about how to give strength and conviction to voice and body in an actor to build a believable character which gets appreciation for it being true over just being performance.
