About this Trek
Kalsubai is a mountain in the Western Ghats, located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. summit is situated at an elevation of 1,646 meters (5,400 ft), is the highest point in Maharashtra. The mountain range lies within the Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary. Kalsubai is a 6 km trek with an elevation gain of around 2,700 feet from the base village Bari
Trek location: Bari village Igatpuri
Trek Grade: Medium Level
Number of Days: 02 (Leave on Saturday night & Sunday)
Peaks visible from Kalsubai top: Alang, Madan, Kulang & Ajoba

Details Itinerary
09.00 pm: Pickup from Sanjay Gandhi National Park Borivali
09.15 pm: Shantaram talao, Malad
09.20 pm: Oberoi Mall, Goregaon
09.30 pm: JVLR Jogeshwari (on WEH near best bus top)
09.45 pm: Seepz gate number 3
10.00 pm: Powai Lake
10.15 pm: Mulund Airoli link road
10.30 pm: Thane near Viviana mall
01.00 am: wake up sleepy head we are at base village of Kalsubai, before we start hiking have some snacks here, get fresh up, we will have introduction with our fellow trek buddies. We will talk about our hobbies, our passion, any past adventure you must have done or planning for something different and so on.
02.00 am: We will start our hike at mid night. This will be 6 km hike tentatively regular trekkers takes 4hr to reach on top.
06.30 am: We will reach at Kalsubai top don’t forget to carry your hoodie and jackets weather here is going to be cold & windy.
07.00 am: Here are we at Highest peak of Maharashtra. we are going to see the beautiful sunrise from top. Keep your cameras on & eyes open
08.00am: Start ascending back to base village.
11.00am: We will have our lunch at base have a rest for a while. If time permit while returning mumbai we can visit to Bhavli Dam one of the beautiful lakes in Igatpuri
05.00pm: Tentatively we will reach Thane teen hath naka
06.00pm: Seepz gate number 3
07.00pm: Borivali Sanjay Gandhi National park

Q. Can the pickup time from Mumbai be changed?
A. These pickup timings are decided after considering the Traffic jam on Saturday night and we don’t want our participates to wait for us on road late night
Q. what if I want to drive my own car till base village?
A. You can do that. Once you book your trek with us we will send you exact location where to meet in base village
Q. I am first timer should I go for Kalsubai Trek?
A. Yes, if you are someone who is planning to go for long treks let’s say something for 8 or 9 days this is the best option you can start with.
Q. Meals provided by you will it be Hygiene and fresh?
A. Yes. whatever meals provided by us will be homely cooked food.
Q. We are planning to join this trek in group. can I expect discount?
A. Our cost is already very low if you compare with group size. We at Backpacker Tours don’t work in Quantity. We have always preferred and try to enhance participants experience for which above given cost is as low as possible from our side.
Q. will we reach back to Mumbai by 07.00 pm on Sunday?
A. We will try our best but it is also depending on how fast we are completing the trek. And starting from base village also traffic during the journey will play a big role for Pickup and Drop
